sand saplings of pineapple trees
were transported from here by
plane to the United States for

first local council of Circassi-
ans in Israel opened at Kfar
Kama, near Attabor:The first
non-Jewish body of its kind
in Israel, the Circassian coun-
cil was set up...by the depart-
ment of self-government of
_ the Ministry of Interior. 'Kfar
Kama has a population of 800
and took an active part in the
Israel war of liberation. Al-
though the Circassians are
•Moslems, they served in the
-armed forces of Israel.
