Canada's Chief Jurist
Impressed with Israel

JERUSALEM, (ISI)—The ma-
jority of Canadians are favorab-
ly inclined towards Israel, the
Rt. Hon. Thibaudeau Rinfret,
Chief Justice of Canada, told
the Jerusalem Post during a
visit here with Mrs. Rinfret.
The 71-year-old Chief Justice
described his -trip, to Israel as
"one of the most enjoyable hol-
idays I have spent." He met
with the Minister of Justice and
members of 'the Supreme Court,
toured Beersheba, Tel Aviv, NaZ-
areth, Lake Tiberias and Haifa.
After visiting the Old City of
Jerusalem, Rinfret called the
Arab section "an oriental city
with nothing particular to at-
tract the tourist except the Holy
Places." He found Jewish Jeru-
salem "a modern city where any
Westerner would feel at home."
Although he would not com-
ment on the internationalization
of Jerusalem, Rinfret declared:
"One of my Judges—Mr. Justice
Rand—wrote the report on the
internationalization. His report
was favorable to the Israelis and
my feeling is that the majority
of Canadians are favorably in - .

clined towards Israel."

make it possible to begin a new
chapter in Jewish colonization
work inl Argentina.
It was revealed that the Jew-
ish Colonization Association will
allocate 100,000 pesos to the
