from a week's-visit in New York City.

Mrs. S. Okrant of New York City, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Birnbaum
of Miami Beach, and .Mrs. Harris Silverberg and her son, Dale,
-and daughter Lois of Chicago, were also in Detroit for the occa-
sion.
Miss Hortense Schlafer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Schlaf-
er, formerly of Detroit and now residing in Hollywood, Fla., is
visiting relatives and friends in the city.
Mrs. Cora Loes of Birchcrest Drive has returned from Charle-
voix, where she spent the summer season.
Dr. and Mrs. Herbert Glodt of Pittsfield, Mass., were in Detroit
for several days last week, during which time they were the house
guests of r Mr. and Mrs. Julian Krolik of Chicago Blvd.
Miss Joan Field, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Field of
Roslyn Road, returned recently from a two-months' European trip.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Winer of Calvert Ave., are visiting friends
in Tulsa, Okla.
Mrs. Anna Seaman of Canterbury Drive has left for Los An-
geles to spend the fall and winter seasons with her son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Seaman, of that city.
Miss Dene Laib of Strathcona Drive returned last week from
a European trip.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Biber of Prairie Ave., accompanied by their
daughter Susan, are visiting in Tulsa, Okla., to attend the Bar
Mitzvah of Richard D. Schiller on Sept. 2.
Mr. and Mrs. Royal Maas of Cambridge Road have returned
from their vacation in Charlevoix.
Miss Susan Dreifus,. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Al Dreifus of
Birchcrest Drive, has returned from California, where she attended
the summer session of U. C. L. A.
In honor of the golden wedding anniversary of their parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Sol Scher of W. Philadelphia Ave., Mr. and Mrs.
Philip F. Brown of Santa Barbara Drive entertained at a family
dinner in their home on Saturday evening, Aug. 26. Members of
the family who came from Chicago for the occasion were Miss
Eleanor Scher, Mrs. A. B. Seelenfreund, Mr. Louis Seelenfreund,
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hollander, Mrs. R. D. Katz.
Ann Frank, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Frank of Wilde-
mere Ave., has returned from a 10-day visit in Chicago with Mar-
lene Minsky of that city.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry _Winkleman and family, formerly of Sag-
inaw, Mich., are now residing in Detroit at 19617 Renfrew Road.
Mrs. Maurice Klein and her daughter, Susan, of Chicago Blvd.,
have returned from Boston, Mass., .where they were the guests of
Mrs. Klein's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Levin of that city. Thomas Klein returned with them, after hav-
ing finished his year in Harvard Graduate School.
Mrs. Joseph Gaylord and her son, John, of W. Boston Blvd.,
have returned from a vacation in Frankfort, Mich.
Dr. and Mrs. Abraham Becker of Ewald Circle have returned
from a vacation in northern Michigan.

quisette gown with tiers of ruf-
fles extending to the long train.
Her finger-tip veil fell from a
Dutch cap. She carried a Bible
covered with white orchids. •
Her bridesmaids were Madelyn
Imber, Mrs. Jerome _ Pershin,
Mrs. Herbert Hertzberg and Mrs.
Leonard Baron. The maid-of-
honor was Reva Gross.) Mrs.
Bernard Harris was matron-of-
honor and Felice and Marilyn
Pershin were flower girls.
Jerome Pershin, brother of the
bridegroom, was his best man.
The ushers were David Gross,
Bernard Harris, Wilber Phillips,
Herbert Schubb, Lewis Davis,
Arnold Aisen, Herbert Hertzberg,
Leonard Baron and Ted Fish-

Following the ceremony, a buf-
