Miss Julia Klein, formerly of West Boston Boulevard, is now
residing at 900 Whitmore Drive.
Mrs. M. Wohlgemuth of W. Philadelphia Ave. has returned
from a month's vacation in Los Angeles, Calif., spent with her son,
daughter and grand daughter of that city.
Mr. and Mrs. David Sidder have returned from Florida and
are spending the summer in Detroit with their son and daughter,
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Sidder of Fullerton Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. William Isenberg of Edison Ave. are vacationing
for several weeks in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Arthur Bloom and her son, John, of Gloucester Road, ac-
companied by Mrs. Albert Krohn of Cambridge Road, are guests
for the week at the Savoy-Plaza. Hotel in New York City.
Mrs. David Kallman of Canterbury Road has returned to De-
troit from a fortnight's visit with friends in Cleveland.
Mrs. Irwin Clamage of Ashton Road, with her son, Stephen,
and daughter, Susan, are visiting for a month in Los Angeles,
where they are guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sol Waxier of
that city.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rubiner of Chicago Boulevard left this
week for a three-week vacation in Charlevoix, MiCh.
Henry Y. Leopold of Wisconsin Ave. and David Logan of
Woodingham Dr. are spending the week at the Logan's summer
home at Woodlan. d Beach, Mich.
Henry M. Gottlieb, assistant U. S. District Attorney, has re-

'celebrated their fifteenth wedding anniversary Aug. 11.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Fishman and daughter, Gerry, of 3411
Sherbourne Rd., have returned from a month in Atlantic City,
N.J., and Lake Champlain, N.Y.
Mrs. M. Haar and daughter of Santa Barbara Dr. have re-
turned from a two weeks stay at the Grand' Hotel in the Cats-

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lawson of San Juan Dr. have returned
ffom a vacation in Charlevoix and Mackinac Island.

home from their motor trip South. They spent some time at

four American- young people
who are attending the second
meeting of the World Assembly
of Youth Council in Istanbul,
Turkey. Mr. Pins will report on
. the proceedings of the World
Assembly to the annual assem-
bly of the National Jewish
Youth Conference at Camp
Wel-Met, Narrowsburg, N.Y.,
Aug. 31 to Sept. 7.

COHEN, assistant to Mayor Wil-
liam O'Dwyer since 1946 and a
veteran of 42 years' city service,
was appointed to post of Acting
Deputy Mayor. He will assume
the duties of Deputy Mayor
William Reid, who will retire
Oct. 1.

JACOB BLAUSTEIN, president
of the American Jewish Com-
mittee, left for Israel at the
personal invitation of Premier
David Ben Gurion to confer on
a number of problems concern-
ing relationships between
American Jews and the Jewish
state. He was accompanied by
Dr. Simon Segal, director of the
Foreign Affairs Department of
the American Jewish Commit-
tee.

DR. MAX ROSENFELD, chiro-
practic physician has returned
from Washington, D. C., where
he lectured at the national chir-
opractic convention on Aug: 3,

4 and 5 under the auspices of
the National Council on Physio-
therapy. His subject was
"Bloodless Manipulation Techni-
que in Chiropractic Practice."
Dr. Rosenfeld also was invited
to lecture about his recent trip
to Israel and showed his colored
slides. Dr. Rosenfeld offers to
show these slides and talk about
Israel to any organization do-
ing charitable work. He is
chairman of the health services
division of the United Jewish
Appeal and chaiman of the ADL
Committee of Detroit Louis Mar-
shall Bnai Brith Lodge.

MARGUERITE KOZENN, De-
troit soprano, has been invited
to present new Israeli songs at
the closing banquet of the na-
tional convention of Hadassah
on Aug. 23 at the Waldorf As-
toria, New York City. The ban-
quet will be in the nature of a
welcome to the newly appointed
Israel ambassador to the U.S.,
Aubrey Eban.
