Foster Neo-Nazi
Blocs in Homeland

MUNICH, .(JTA)—Germans in
the United States have written
about 200 anti-Semitic letters,
some filled with profanities, to
Bavarian Prime Minister Hans
Ehard, American officials dis-
closed. The letters, most of
which came from Yonkers, N.Y.,
where there is a large German
colony, attacked Ehard for
bringing about the trial by de-
nazification court this year of
Mathilde Ludendorff, widow of
the former Field Marshal Erich
Ludendorff.
American authorities t o 1 d
Reuters they were investigating
a complaint that .neo-Nazi
movements in Germany, partic-
ularly that said to be headed by
Frau Ludendorff, were backed
in the United States.
Premier Ehard was said to
have walked into American High
Commission offices here and
dropped the letters, in three
large. bundles, on the desk of a
high official with the remark
"here's something that should
interest you." One letter ac-
cused him of "taking part in a
foul plot of international Jewry"
against Frau Ludendorff.
A Commission official said:
"Premier Ehard indicated that
he thought the job of teaching
the Bavarians democracy might
begin in the United States."
U. S. High. Commissioner John
J. McCloy's political intelligence
officers, it was disclosed, have
long been disturbed over the ap-
pearance of anti-Semitic arti-
cles in the German-language
press in the United. States,
which are passed on to nation-
aliaic groups in Germany.

Rabbi Fram' s 25 Years
Service Cited by ZOD

JERUSALEM — (JTA) — One
Israel soldier and several Arabs
were killed in a clash on the
Israel-Jordan f r on tie r near
Beersheba. The clash took place
when a group of Arab shep-
h e r d s, accompanied by an
armed Arab escort, drove their
flocks from Jordanian territory
into Israel territory for grazing
purposes. An Israel border pat-
rol was met by fire from Arab
Legion armored cars. The Is-
raelis succeeded in driving the
shepherds back across the bor-
der. The Jordanians' armored
cars did not penetrate Israel
territory.

The board of directors of the
Zionist Organization of Detroit
voted a resolution July 13, offi-
cially honoring the services to
Zionism and the local commun-
ity made by Rabbi Leon Fram,
on the anniversary of his 25th
year in the Ministry.
The resolution commended
his firm faith in Zionism and
the success with which he has
served Jewry, expressing hope
for many continued years of his
service to the community.
