Saks Resigns Council Job; Attacks Lack of Program Dr. Leon Saks, one of the younger leaders in the Ameri- can Council for Judaism and president of its Cincinnati chapter, has resigned from the Council because of failure of the anti-Zionist body to produce a positive program. He said he had long been dissatisfied with the lag in producing a policy to strengthen Judaism in America, as well as the Council's national policy of a frozen neutrality to- ward Israel. When reminded that he had frequently taken the position that "Jewish nationalism" con- tained a threat to the status of United States Jews and asked how he proposed to continue his fight against that threat, now that he has left the Council, he replied: "I frankly don't feel that's the important question. now. The important thing is to provide help to Israel for the task of resettling the refugees coming there and to build Juda- ism in America."
