▪ Stu iping States Exile Breeds Revelations of Israel's on Israel Tourism Rebirth In Study of Holy Scriptures Efforts to streamline Israel's infant tourist trade were de- scribed by two Detroit visitors, Mrs. Lotte Fuld and Dr. Kurt Singer. Both were in town on trans-continental lecture tours: Dr. Singer on behalf of the United Nations Speaker's Re- search Council and Mrs. Fuld in her capacity as president of Patra, the Palestine Travel Agency. Emphasizing the growth of tourism in Is- rael, Mrs. Ftild exhibited p i c - tures of the new Megiddo hotel on Mt. Cannel, built by American a n d Israel capital at a cost of $700,- 000, and told of plans of the Is-Dr. Kurt Singer rael Tourist Center, Inc. to erect a half-million dollar bungalow- type hotel near Tel Aviv. Organization of Patra, ex- panding tourist facilities, and scheduled flights to Israel and the U. S. by El Al, Israel na- tional airways, are evidences of the improved tourist facilities offered by Israel. Mrs. Fuld noted that approxi- mately 20,000 tourists, including several hundred Holy Year Christian pilgrims, visited Israel the first four months of this year. Another 20,000 are expect- ed to jam Israel facilities during the world Maccabiah, Sept. 29 to Oct. 8. Dr. Singer stated that one threat to the tourist trade was the refusal of Arab countries to honor visas of tourists enroute to Israel. Only Transjordan, in the cases of high clergymen and prominent journalists, has al- lowed passage to ISrael. From Detroit, the two will make a cross-country• tour end-. ing in Seattle, Wash. Dr. Singer will outline the work of the United Nations, and Mrs. Fuld will address women's clubs and other groups on tourism in Is- rael. • Mrs. Fuld, now an Israel citi- zen, once resided in Detroit with her daughter-in-law and son, Mr. and Mrs. Martin J. Friday, July 28, 1950 The 12 page brochure entitled up (there shall be a thousand "The Prophecy Concerning the Restoration of Jewish Nation" printed in Seoul, Korea, by the Everlasting Gospel Association, makes interesting reading—from the theological and historical points of view. Written by Enoch Han, a Korean, the pamphlet contains the revelation of the resurgence of Israel, as it came to him in 1943. At the time Han was in vol- untary exile in Shanghai, China, Korea then being under Japan- ese rule. All told, he spent 40 years in exile. Much of that time was devoted to study of the Holy Scriptures and earnest prayer, and it was from this that he perceived the interpre- tation of the Lord's hidden pro- phecy as to the time and con- ditions of the rebirth of Israel. The revelation is outlined in. the definitions of 12 verses. From the Book of Daniel, Chap- ter 12:11, "And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away and the abomina- tion that maketh desolate set Interest Grows in Visits to Israel For High Holidays With the approaching High Holydays looming as an impor- tant occasion for visits in Israel, Rhea E. Cashman of World- Witte Travel Bureau, announced this week that her staff is pre- pared to offer service both for Israel and European tours as well as for hotel accommoda- tions in Israel. Miss Cashman stated that her office is prepared to make ar- rangements for extensive tours of Israel ranging from visits of 14 days to a month or longer. Israel touring information can be gotten from Miss Cashman at 215 Majestic Bldg., WO: 2-3368. Miss Cashman stated that she is prepared to arrange for tours of Israel by large groups and that plans can be made in ad- vance for tourists' guides during proposed trips by organizations or family groups. There were 15,000 eligible box- holders whose boxes yielded $10 or more from whom four were chosen for trips to Israel. Mrs. Benjamin Schussel of De- troit was awarded $100 worth of Totzereth HaAretz—Israel pro- ducts—by the JNF. Her box was among 30,000 which yielded $5 or more. The revelation is the destruc- tion of Ole Second Temple and the erection, at a later date on its site, of the Moslem Temple, "The Dome of Rock." Revelation from Daniel 7:25, tells of the coming of Hitler and his desecration of the Jewish people: And Revelation 11:2 tells of the Holy Land being `given unto the gentiles,' for forty and two months, which are 1,260 days, before the return of the Jews. Further verses describe the tragedies of the Jews, and then, in Numbers 14:34, "Each day for a year shall ye bear your in- iquities'," is taken to mean that the dispersion of the Jews and their sufferings will last 1,260 years, from the date of the erec- tion of "The Dome of Rock," in 688 A. D. Han then added 688 and 1269, and perceived that Israel would be reborn in 1948. As it was. Corroboration is given cred- ence to the prophecy's authen- ticity by the fact that it was reprinted in a Jewish newspaper, the "Shanghai Echo," on May 6, 1947, Han's predictions also include the destruction of the last great atheistic country (Russia, it is presumed), which should occur with the end of the Second World War. This must be accom- plished before the destruction of Israel's enemies and complete fulfillment of the revelation, of Israel's rebirth and a world of brotherhood and peace, BUDAPEST (JTA) — Shmuel Eliyashov, Israel Minister to Hungary, arrived here from Prague to present his creden- tials to the President. Korean War Spurs Agency's Immigration Plan for 50,000 Youths LONDON, (JTA)—Acting un- der impact of the Korean war and increased tension through- out the world, the Jewish Agency has completed a plan to bring to Israel 50,000 Jewish youths from various parts of the world before world develop- ments make such a transfer dif- ficult, it is reported by Moshe Kol, director of the Youth Ali- yah movement. Mr. Kol, now in Britain mobilizing support for the movement, said the plan provides for the transfer of the 50,000 youths within three years. Kol estimated that $64,400,000 would be needed in the next three years to provide for the maintenance of children under the movement's care, in addi- tion to the housing provided by the Israel Government.
