CLUB TWO, PIONEER WOM-
EN, culminated its activities for
the season with an installation
luncheon June 28 at Halevy Mu-
sic Center. The following took
office: Jeanette Serling, presi-
dent; Isabelle Browne, financial
secretary; Yetta Landy, cultural
chairman; Estell Miskin, corre-
sponding secretary; Molly Ma-
ser, treasurer. The club was the
first in Detroit to reach its hon-
or roll quota of $11,000.

Steingold. Plans for the Wienie
roast to be held July 16 were
discussed. The next meeting
will be held at the home of Lil-
lian. Bloom Thursday evening,
July 6.

LOUIS MARSHALL LODGE
and CINEMA LODGE, Bnai
Brith, will hold a combined pic-
nic July 30, at Middle Rouge
Park. All members, their fam-
ilies and friends are invited. The
Lodges have arranged for re-
freshments and toys for every
youngster. The committee also
has arranged to keep the
youngsters entertained with a
story telling hour as well as
adult supervision while they are
wading in the pool.

Waldbridge Memorial Fund to a

9 Receive Scholarships
In 'Human Relations'
Scholarships to "human rela-
tions workshops" were presented
eight teachers and a policeman
by the Detroit Round Table of
Catholics, Jews and • Protestants.
Among t h e recipients were
Dorothy Weiman, who teaches
at Noble School and David Rap-
paport, an instructor at t h e
Winterhalter School.
Henry Wineman, co - chair-
man of the Round Table pre-
sented the scholarships, given
for interest shown in human re-
lations work.
The $100 scholarships will be
used by the recipients for ad-
vanced study at various univer-
sities.

War Veterans Give
Citation to Council
The Jewish Community Coun-
cil received a citation from the
Department of Michigan Jewish
War Veterans, "for meritorious
service to the Department."
