Zuroff Back, Enthused
Over Israel Progress
Morris Zuroff, Detroit furni-
ture merchant, upon his return
from a 70-day stay in Israel,
where he toured the entire land,
said he was enthused over Is-
rael's accomplishments.
Mr. Zuroff expressed the view
that Israel, whose business
prospects are good, will succeed
in spite of the many difficulties
in her path. He said that he
found business ventures in the
Jewish state to be impressive
and stated that from the days
of his first arrival until his de-
parture some sections of the
land could not be recognized
because of the rapid construc-
tion work in progress.
Praising the efforts of the
Keren Kayemeth (Jewish Na-
tional Fund) and of the agen-
cies functioning with UJA
funds, he neverthless criticized
the Histadrut and said that he
heard too many objections to
the power now held by the ,labor
federation.
Mr. Zuroff visited in Petach
Tikvah with a nephew during
part of his stay in Israel.
