Israel, will be published June 19
by SChocken Books. Dr. Simon
Halkin, who received his educa-
tion in the United States, is as-
sociate professor of modern He-
brew literature at the Jerusa-
lem University. He has devoted
many years to the study of the
literary trends and philosophical
aspects of Hebrew literature,
and in this volume he makes
vivid the life-drama of a people
as reflected in its writings.

as delegates to the third annual
assembly of the NATIONAL
JEWISH YOUTH CONFERENCE,
to be held Aug. 31 to Sept. .5 at
Camp Wel-Met, Narrowsburg, N.
Y., it has been announced by
Arnulf M. Pins, Paterson, N. J.,
conference chairman. The Con-
ference is sponsored by the Na-
tional Jewish Welfare Board.
