12—THE JEWISH NEWS First Day Camp Set At Dexter JCC Unit; Club Program Ends Friday, June 9, 1950 Engaged b b Troth Announced Men's Clubs T h e Dexter-Davison Center neighborhood clubs will wind up the season with a wiener roast for parents and c h i Id r e n Wednesday, June 14, at Palmer Park. They will meet at the picnic grove near the wading pool at 4:30 p.m. In the event of rain, the wiener roast will be held the following day, Thurs- day, June 15, at the same time and place. , ' With the closing of the club program for junior members, the Dexter-Davison Branch is preparing for its first day camp season. Plans are under way to complete the playground next to the building in time for the opening of camp on July 3. In addition to playground ac- tivities the camp program will include swimming (at the Woodward Center), story-tell- ing, arts and crafts, dramatics, dancing, picnics, trips, Sabbath programs and other projects. Mrs. Jean Gore will serve as director; with Gene Jaffe • as head counselor. Henry Bern- stein is in Charge of arts and crafts. The counseling .staff in- cludes T e d Goldberg, Esther' Saslove, Eli Lifschultz, Dorothy Marsh, Leah Michlin and Gloria Moscowitz. _ Applications for day camp are now being taken for children between the ages of six and 12 who live in the Dexter-Da,vison area.
