Mr. and Mrs. Irving Krenson and their daughter, Corinne, have returned to New York following a visit with their . son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Giverser of the Seville Hotel. Dr. and Mrs. Robert Shorr have returned from Chicago where he has been studying optometry, and will for the present reside with his mother, Mrs. Mary Shorr of Chicago Blvd. Mr. and Mrs. Philip J. Cutler of Dexter Boulevard returned this week from a four-month tour of the West including a visit with their family in California. Leon Kay and Morris Schaver attended the dinner marking the 25th anniversary of the Hebrew University, at Princeton, N. J., on May 110. Dr. Albert Einstein presided at the dinner. Mr. Kay left for Israel the next day. Dr. and Mrs. Robert Drews will leave Detroit June 18, and New York June 20, for Europe. They will visit with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Raimi. During September, Dr. Drews will attend conventions in Paris. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Boodin, formerly of Indiana Ave., are now residing in their new home at 19744 Snowden. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Finegold and daughter, Vicki, of Elmhurst Ave., have returned from a three-month visit to California. Mrs. B. Friedman and daughter Adele, of Webb Ave., have returned froth a three-month South American cruise aboard the SS. Women's Division, AJC, Covering Last Prospects Women's Division Allied Jew- ish Campaign workers are mop-, ping up their solicitations this week, .in order to bring in a re-' port of 100 percent achievment to. the workers rally May 23, at the Northwest Synagogue. Prospects who were out of town or who for other reasons could not be contacted before the May 11 victory tea will be reached in this final phase of the campaign. Mrs. John C. Jandy, former associate professor of sociology at Wayne University who has been appointed cultural officer in the Public Affairs Division of the Department of State, is now engaged in a six-week training course in Washigton, D. C., and New York City, preparatory to leaving for his Tel Aviv, Israel post. As cultural officer, Dr.- Jandy will deal with matters of mutual cultural interest to Israelites and Americans, and will seek to further the understanding of American literature, arts, educa- tion, industry and other phases of American life. He will also handle exchange-of-persons ac- tivities, advising Israel students planning to attend. American colleges and universities. Dr. Jandy was welfare director of the UNRRA Ethiopian Mis- sion from November, 1945 to January, 1947. He was secretary of the Michigan Corrections As- sociation from 1947 to 1948, and served as secretary-treasurer, vice president and president of the Michigan Sociological Soci- ety. He is a member , of the board of directors of Dodge Community House and has been on Wayne's faculty since 1929. His wife and daughter will join him in Israel.
