from a 10-day stay in Indianapolis, Ind.
Mrs. Herman Rothschild of Minneapolis, Minn., is the house
guest of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin
Kopple of Parkside Ave.
Mrs. Max Grossman of Los Angeles is spending a few months
as the guest of her son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. I.
Irving Bittker of Atkinson Ave.
Mrs. Lena Maurice of Los Angeles is the house guest of her
son, Albert, of Dumbarton Road, while visiting with members of
their family.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Winkelman and children have returned
to Chicago after a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Landsberg of Roselawn Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Janeway of Lansing, Mich., spent the
last week-end visiting his parents, the Robert Janeways of Cm-
terbury Road.
Mrs. Henry Rosenblum has returned to her home in Gladstone,
Mich., after spending a few weeks as the house guest of her
son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leon G. Winkelman of
Fairfield Ave.
Dr. and Mrs. Leon Katzin, Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Gerendesy,
Dr. and Mrs. Albert Altman, Dr. and Mrs. Abe Pearlman, Dr. and
Mrs. Louis Gallen, Dr. and Mrs. I. Seidenberg and Dr. Allan H.
Kline, spent the last week-end in Toronto where they were guests
at the Royal York Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. James Buhai and small son of Highland Park,
Ill., spent a few weeks visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John L.
Brown of Strathcona Dr.
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Plaut have . returned to their home in
Cincinnati after spending a few days as guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Smilay of Balmoral Road. The Smilays' son, Malcolm, has
left for a European tour.
Mrs. Herman Castle and small son has been visiting her
parents in Hannibal, Mo.
Mr. and Mrs. Moe Leiter of Chicago Blvd. and Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Krause of Calvert Ave. have returned from a month's
stay in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Lasky of Covington Road returned on
Monday from Miami Beach, where they spent the winter months.
Michael Krell and his daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Schlafer, his
son, Leon, and his grandchildren, Dr. and Mrs. Schayel Schein-
berg of the Lee Plaza, have returned from Grand Rapids, Mich.,
where they attended the wedding of his granddaughter, Jacquel-
ine, to Donald Warsaw.

The Jewish Center marked up
another win for the Center
Swimmers recently, when they
captured second place in the
Midwest Jewish Center Athletic
Conference swim champion-
ships.
Opposing them were : St. Louis
YM to YIN/ (taking first place),
Akron JC, and Kansas City
JCC.
Marty Siegel won the men's
40 yards free style, while Phil
Russek, Joe Schore, Norm Dres-
sler and Siegel took the 160
yds. free style relay. Tillie Krie-
ger won the women's 100 yds.
backstroke and Bobby Marans
placed first in the boys' 100
yds. breaststroke.
In basketball, the Center Ma-
jor Basketball league ended its
playoffs April 30, with Dexter
Chevrolet beating the league
champs, Taub All-Stars, '70-57.
Captain Jack Nissenbaum, Wil-
liam Pad, Harold Kutnick, Jack
Kutnick, Hy Levine, Herb Bis-
trow, William Konstantin, Harry
K a t z, Stuart Soffa, Seymour
Garber and Irving Cohen made
up the Dexter aggregation.
All-Stars had Alex Taub, cap-
tain, Jack Levitt, Mark Taub,
Lloyd Adelson, Al Ganz, Aaron
Rosenstein, Robert Smilay and
Fred Garber.
Final league honors went to
Hal Kutnick as most valuable
player.
