Dr. and Mrs. Edward Robbins of Los Angeles, formerly. of
Detroit, and William Primrose of the Curtis Institute of Philadel-
phia, world famous violinist, were guests last week of Dr. and
Mrs. Ezra Lipkin of Greenlawn Ave.
Mrs. Samuel J. Peisner of Haifa, Israel, is sailing May 12 for
the United States to attend the forthcoming wedding of her son,
Balfour, to Nora Altman, both Detroiters. This will be Mrs. Peis-
ner's first visit to this country since 1934.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Sinkoff of 2203 Clements, will celebrate
• their 25th wedding anniversary March 14.
Shirley Fenster and Roz Pianka have returned after spending
the winter months in Miami Beach.
Mrs. David Silver has returned to her home on Burlingame
after a two-month visit in Israel.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Lachs have as their house guest Mr.
Lachs' sister, Mrs. Leona Pine, of Jamaica Estates,- Long Island.
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew B. Lorre - and son, Larry, returned to
South Orange, N: J., after visiting Mr. and Mrs. Egon Benesi of
pia Huntington Woods.
Mrs. Albert Weisman of Edison Ave. left on Thursday for
Knoxville, Tenn., to visit with members of her family.
Mrs. Sally L. Brown of the Lee Crest returned on Wednesday,
after spending a few days with helo children, Mr. and Mrs. Rich-
ard Heavenrich of Wellsley Hills, Mass., and Mary Brown who
attends Simmons .College in Boston.. •
Mrs. Clarence Enggass of Cumberland Way left on Sunday
for New 'York to visit•with members of her family. •
Mrs. Irving Krewson of New York arrived Tuesday to spend
a week. with her son-in-law • and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Philip
Givercer of the Seville Hotel.
Mrs. Louis Krause left on Tuesday on the S. S. Stella Palaris
on a Mediterranean—cruise.
Mrs. Philip Smith of Boston Blvd. returned from the east
where she visited her daughter, Barbara, who attends Knox
School at Cooperstown, N. Y.
Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Miller and daughter, Cynthia, returned
to Chicago after spending a week visiting their parents, Mrs.
Samuel Lipchinsky of Leslie Ave., and Mr. and Mrs. Hyman. Miller
of Calvert Ave.
Nancy Fisher of Lakewood Ave., Stanford Laikin of Wooding-
ham and Ida Rappaport spent the last week-end in Cleveland
where they represented Temple Israel in a debate with pupils
of Euclid Avenue Temple.
Mrs. Lillian Graham -left for a three months' tour of Europe.
Dr. and Mrs. Robert Drews of Broadstreet left for a European
trip.

Elazar on Revitalized
Education Committee

NEW Y 0 R K — Two specific
steps to intensify educational
services rendered to local com-
munities by the American Asso-
ciation for Jewish Education
were announced by Michael A.
Stavitsky of Newark, N. J., pres-
ident.
They are: The formation of a
Commission on Bureaus of Jew-
ish Education, which will corre-
late the activities of the 39 cen-
tral community edueational
agencies and the reorganization
of the committee on in-service
training and placement of edu-
cational personnel.
Judah Pilch, executive direc-
tor of the Association is serving
as temporary chairman of the
training and placement commit-
tee which includes Albert Ela-
zar of Detroit.
