CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL
will be at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday,
April 18, in the Lecture Hall of
the Detroit Institute of Arts.
The participa ling artists will be
Joseph Knitzer, violin, George
Poinar, viola, Georges Miquelle,
cello, and Karl Haas, piano. The
program will consist of the
Schumann Piano Quartet in E
flat, the Ravel Duo-Sonata for
Violin and Cello and the Faure
Piano Quartet in C minor.

In the celebration of the sec-
ond anniversary of the estab-
lishment of Israel, Hashomer
Hatzair of Detroit will present
an evening of entertainment at
8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at
Dexter-Davison Jewish Center.
Dov Bar-Nir, Knesset mem-
ber, will be featured speaker.
An original play by Detroiter
David Saferstein, "The Reach
for a Star," will be presented by
members of all age levels of the
halutz movement.
A d i n a and Nachum, Israel
dance interpreters, will complete
the program.
Proceeds from this perform-
ance will be used for expanding
facilities at Camp Negba, the
movement's summer headquar-
ters in the Irish Hills.
Tickets are available at the
Jewish Center.
