Workmen's Circle School Graduates
To Receive Diplomas at Third Seder

The Workmen's Circle Wom-
en's Division will present its
traditional "Third Seder" at 3
p.m. Friday, April '7, at the
Workman's Circle Center.
A special Haggadah has been
prepared from Hebrew and Jew-
ish. literature. Moe Kesner and
Malke Shaw will lead singing.
The graduation exercises of
the Workmen's Circle Shule will
be held as part of the Third
-so-Seder program.
All members of the Workmen's
Circle and friends of the school
and kindergarten are invited.
List Regulations
For BB Tourney
Sam Banks, president of the
Detroit Bnai Brith Bowling As-
sociation, announced a probable
entry list of 500 bowlers for the
city tournament to be conduct-
ed April 15 and 16 at the Bowl-
O-Drome.
The tournament is an over-
average test in which the keg-
lers contest for the city Bnai
Brith championships' team
events and singleS. Entries from
all 16 Detroit lodges are expect-
ed. Banks said.
Alfred Brook and Arthur
Schultz, vice presidents of the
association, are 'Co-chairmen of
the tournament.' They announ-
ced the following committee ap-
pointments: Banquet, Harry Co-
hen, Harty Kurzman, Oscar
Banks; finances, M. Goldhoff;
trophies, Jerry Mosher, Leo Cen-

Of Three Book Reviews
A series of three book reviews
will be presented by the Culture
Commission of the Jewish Com-
munity Council Tuesday eve-
nings, April 11, 18 and 25, at the
Jewish Center on - Davison, •
The books chosen, deal with
three important aspects of Jew-
ish life: "The Wall," by John
Hersey, dealing with the battle
of tr.?. Warsaw Ghetto; "Jews in
_Transition," a sociological study
of Jewish life in an American
community, by Rabbi Albert I,
Gordon, and "Jewish Festivals,"
by Chayim Schauss.
The series is open to the pub-
lic.

Deported from Poland
LONDON (JTA)—B. Zilber-
berg, correspondent of the Jew-
ish Telegraphic Agency in Po-
land, was ordered to leave Po-
land because of an article in
which he criticized the fact that
Jews emigrating from the coun-
try are not permitted to take
their personal effects with them.
Zilberberg arrived in London
March 16. The article to which
the Polish authorities took ex-
ceptiOn appeared in the London
Jewish Chronicle, a weekly pub-
lication.
JDC Distributes Passover
Foods in 17 Countries
NEW YORK — (JTA) — More
than 1,500,000 pounds of Pass-
over foods have been distributed
by the Joint Distribution Com-
mittee to needy Jews in 17 Eu-
ropean and North African coun-
tries, it was announced by Ed-
ward M. M. Warburg, JDC
chairman.
Some 500,000 Jewish men,
women and children will bene-
fit from the special holiday dis-
tribution, which includes mat-
zoh, matzoh meal and 40,000
bottles of Passover wine.
