WOMEN'S CITY BOWLING
TOURNAMENT banquet for over
215 bowlers, Mrs. Esther Farber,
of Tikvah Chapter, was awarded
a trophy for winning first place
in the gross individual three-
game series. • Mrs. Ann Krupp,
also of Tikvah, carried the first
place high single gross series. At
Tikvah's last league session, Mrs.
Sarah Wolfe tied with Mrs. El-
len Moss for the 207 high single
game of the season, as well as
capturing the individual high
series with a score of 495.

LAUER MATERNITY AID, and
also to open a membership drive,
a series of teas are being plan-
ned. The organization has long
been known for its help to in-
digent mothers by giving them
pre-natal care and hospitaliza-

styles of 1850 through today. The
period costumes will be shown
by models from The Detroit His-
torical Society.

modern fashions by courtesy of
Saks Fifth Ave. and Furs by
Roberts. Mesdames Harold Al-
len, Edwin Marks and Royal Op-
penheim are directing the cast.

8 Leadership Classes

The first class in the eight
session leadership course spon-
sponsored by the Pioneer Wo-
men's council met March 8, at
the Rose Sittig Cohen Bldg. The
course will continue every
Wednesday except April 5 and
19.
Albert Elazar, director of the
Midrasha, will speak at all ses-
sions on the problems affecting
Israel.
The first three sessions are be-
ing taught by Raymond S.
Beard, speech instructor at
Wayne University. He will speak
on parliamentary law, psychol-
ogy of speech, and leadership.
Members of the class will par-
ticipate in the last five sessions
with individually prepared pa-
pers on the work of Pioneer
Women.
