JULIUS WAGMAN, of 18011
Roselawn, died in Los Angeles
Feb. 2. Funeral services were
held at Hebrew Benevolent So-
ciety. Rabbis Stollman, Hober-
man, Wohlgelernter, S p e r k a,
Rothenberg and Prero officiated
Mr. Wagman was noted for his
deep interest in philanthropic
causes. Survived by his wife,
Gertrude; his aged mother, Mrs.
Betty Wagman; brother Mau-
rice; sisters, Mrs. Sarah She-
selsky, Mrs. Cecelia Ruza, Mrs,
Anna Nager and Mrs. Fannie
Friedman.

tion "The Jews: Their History,

Louis Finkelstein, president of

Hebrew University, the Hebrew
Union College, the Jewish Theol-

the Jewish religion.
This book is the product of
over five years' intensive labor
on the part of the authors and
the editor. There are chapters
on the Biblical period, the post-
