25th wedding anniversary at a cocktail party and dinner at the
Elmwood Inn for 60 people, given by their children, Mr. and Mrs.
Al Sternberg.
Mrs. Mollie Ittigson of Filigree Ave. has left for Miami, where
she will spend the remainder of the winter.
Col. Ervin Greenbaum left for Ft. Riley, Kan., where he will
rejoin the faculty of the Army's Command and General Staff
College for the next two weeks.
Before her recent marriage to Bernard Boren, the former
Harriet Lois Shapiro was entertained at showers by Mrs. Nathan
Borenstein, Mrs. Irving Kane, Betty Taffel, Hannah Cane, Mrs.
Sidney Shapiro and Mrs. Norman Jasen.
Mrs. Isaac Gilbert of W. Boston Blvd. and Mrs. Samuel
Glowgower of Chicago Blvd.. sailed Feb. 7 on the S. S. New
Amsterdam on a 40 day South American cruise.
Mr. and Mrs. Emil Rose of Fairfield Ave. are spending several
months travelling in Europe.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Newman of Canterbury Dr. are visiting
in Hollywood, Fla. at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Edwin M. Rosenthal.
Mrs. Rose Lipson of Merton Rd. has returned from a four
weeks' vacation in Washington.
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Doner of Renfrew Rd. flew to Switzer-
land last week to spend a month's vacation skiing in the Swiss
Alps.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fenton of Oak Dr. are vacationing in
Miami Beach.
Mrs. Mervin Blach has returned to her home in Birmingham,
Ala., after a visit in Detroit with her daughter and son, Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Van Baalen, Jr.
Mr. and Mrs. Maier Finsterwald of Parkside Ave. are spending
a fortnight in Mexico.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Gilbert of Arden Park are vacationing in
Palm Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. David A. Brown of Burlingame Ave. have left
for Los Angeles, where they will spend the remainder of the winter.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Farbsten of Burlington Rd. are vacation-
ing for two months in Palm Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. W. Nadler and sons, Martin and Leon, formerly
of Atkinson Ave. have moved to their new home at 17522 Muirland.
The family recently returned from Montreal where they attended
the wedding of Mr. Nadler's brother.
Mrs. Harry Conheim of 3471 W. Outer Dr., who recently
returned from several weeks' visit in Providence, Boston and New
York, is now a guest at the Ancelle Apt. Hotel in Los Angeles for
a, few months, accompanied. by her sister, Irene Burton.
Detroiters vacationing in Hollywood, Fla., include Mrs. Sylvia
Cohen, Dr. and Mrs. S. Glassman and Mr. and Mrs. Max Unger.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Cas-
cade are entertaining their family and friends on the eve of the
departure of their father, Osher Goldberg, for Israel. Out-of-town
guests include Ann and Fritz Spencer of Chicago and Mr. and

diing took place Nov. 24 at the
Sheraton Hotel, have returned
from their Miami Beach honey-
moon.
Mrs. Boren is the former Har-
riet Lois Shapiro, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Morton Shapiro
of Stoepel Ave. Her husband is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan
Borenstein of Quincy Ave.

exchanged their marriage vows
at a ceremony solemnized by
Rabbi Morris Adler Dec. 25 at
Shaarey Zedek.
The bride's gown was of white
imported Chantilly lace. She
carried white orchids on a white
Bible.
Her attendants were Mrs. Da-
vid Katz, matron of honor; Fife
Abrohamad, Jeri Altman, Alvira
Rotschild and Marilyn Zitomer,
bridesmaids, and Rose Ash, flow-
er girl.
Gilbert Gibbs was his broth-
er's best man, and the ushers
were Fred Efronson, Sidney Ef-

Katz, Martin Shugerman and
Herbert Waze.
After honeymooning in Miami
Beach, the newlyweds are re-
siding on Waverly Ave.

Bnai Brith Business and Pro-
fessional Chapter will highlight
its current season with a paid-
up membership dance Saturday
evening, Feb. 11, at the Book-
Cadillac Hotel.
