Major Nachman Karni, veter-
an of the Israeli Army, one of
the organizers of the Chalutziut
in the Labor Zionist Movement,.
is visiting Detroit and will re-
main here through Feb. 13 to

discuss possibilities of Hashavim
among the younger members of
the Zionist movement. Several
Hashavim groups have already
been formed in this country.
A Garin Aliya was formed in
1949 by a group of LZOA mem-
bers under the name of "Has-
havim", meaning "the Return-
ers". The purpose of the organ-
ization is to help members who
wish to band together here with
the ultimate view of setting up
a cooperative in Israel. Mem-
bers of Hashavim study Hebrew,
principles and applications of
Zionism and learn the coopera-
tive way- of living here in prep-
aration for life in Israel.
Major Karni is visiting youth
groups of LZOA, IZFA, Habon-
im, etc.

Sates are rare at our store . • , our furniture is always marked at modest
figures . . . but occasionally we find ourselves with pieces in our regular
stock that we want to sell off at mark-downs. This is such an event, but
the mark-downs are greater than at any time in our 25 years. If you
want the finest in furniture at BIG SAYINGS, it will be well worth your
while to come to our store.
