Mr. and Mrs.' Alexander Freeman of 20 Chicago Blvd., are
staying at the Hotel Gaylord in Los Angeles. Their children, Dr.
and Mrs. Alwyn Vernon Freeman recently returned from Rio de
Janeiro where Dr. Freeman represented the U. S. on the Inter-
American Juridical Committee. Dr. Freeman will return to Brazil
this month.
Mrs. Kurt Levi and son, daughter-in-law and grandson of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Levi have left for KansaS City, Mo., where they
will join Mr. Levi, who is now managing a Kansas City specialty
store.
Rabbi Irving L. Goldman and son, Simcha, of New Orleans,
are visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Goldman of 3118
Tuxedo.
M. Arthur Purdy of Chicago Blvd. has returned fr.om a
week's visit in Chicago with her daughter, Arlene Purdy, who spent
her mid-season vacation from the University of Wisconsin there.
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore 011esheimer of the Wilshire Hotel are
spending a fortnight in Chicago.
Mrs. Sally Lambert Brown of the Lee Crest is visiting for sev-
eral weeks in Wellesley Hills, Mass., with her children, Mr. an d
Mrs. Richard Heavenrich and Mary Brown of Simmons College.
Mr. and Mrs. William Field of Roslyn Rd., left on a five-weeks'
trip to Hollywood, Fla., and the West Indies.

Young Israel Offers
Arbor Day Program;
Rabbi Prero to Speak

Sunday, February 5, at 7 p.m.
in the Young Israel Youth Cen-
ter, the 14 youth groups of
Young Israel will present their
annual Hamisha Asar b'Shevat
program. -
Each group will participate in
one phase of the program,
which will include playlets,
choral singing, recitations, short
talks on the festival and the
beginning of the box collection
campaign for funds for the
Young Israel • Youth Center in
Tel Aviv, construction of which
is to begin shortly.
This Friday evening, the mid-
point of the current winter
series of lectures and forums
sponsored by Young Israel will
feature Rabbi Samuel H. Prero
in a lecture on "Discipline in
Jewish Life" in _the auditorium
of the Youth Center.
An Oneg Shabbat will follow
Rabbi Prero's lecture. •
The Institute for Jewish
Studies will resume its sessions
on Tuesday evening, Feb. 7. A
cooking class to be offered
women who are interested in
Jewish cuisine will be led by
Mrs. Meyer Weisenfeld, chief
