WASHINGTON — Americans
who cite "the fanaticism of
Jewish nationalists" are praising
Yusif El-Bandak, an Arab visi-
tor to the United States.
• However, El-Bandak has been
described by t h e American
Christian . Palestine Committee
and others as an active collabo-
rator of the pro-Nazi ex-Mufti
of Jerusalem. He came to
America with a letter of intro-
duction from General Sir Fred-
erick Morgan, an influential
British Jew-hater, to Merwin K.
Hart, an equally • influential
American Jew-Hater.
A son of the Christian Arab
mayor of Bethlehem, El-Bandak
has attracted national attention.
He has spoken throughout the
U. S. on behalf of the Arab
cause and for internationaliza-
tion of Jerusalem. And he has
been well-publicized by HELP
(Holyland Emergency Liaison
Program), a pro-Arab propa-
ganda organization.
His Trump Card
El-Bandak, who is a Cam-
bridge University graduate, came
to the U. S. with a trump card,
his letter of introduction from
Gen. Sir Frederick Morgan. It
will be recalled that Sir Fred-
erick was fired by the late Fi-
oreilo H. LaGuardia as UNRRA
chief in Germany.
This followed the Britisher's
remark that thousands of "well-
dressed, well-fed and rosy-
cheeked" Polish Jews were flood-
ing into Western Germany in a
"well-organized" exodus: At this
time other British soldiers were
halting this exodus by the use
of rubber truncheons, tear gas,
and bayonets aboard "illegal"
immigrant ships arriving in. Pal-
estinian waters.
The Arab's letter of introduc-
tion was addressed by Gen. Mor-
gan to Merwin K. Hart; it was
confirmed in New York late in
December when El-Bandak ad-
mitted calling on Hart.
• 'Ultra-Conservative' Hart
An enemy of the New Deal
and Fair Deal, Hart is the head
of the ultra-conservative Na-
tional Economic Council. Hart
has written, "It is notorious that
the political Zionists who have
swarmed into Palestine are irre-
ligious and bear a special hatred

. For us to support it, either

Hart also wrote "pointing out
what the real, basic, underlying
trouble is in Washington—an
alliance of 'pinks' with some un-
desirable Jewish people who
seem to have seized control of
the government."
Thus, El-Bandak, the Arab
propagandist, seems to have the

WASHINGTON—(JTA)—A

The American view, Mr. Mc-

Jewish Groups Urge
Genocide Ratification

Immediate U. S. ratification of
the UN genocide convention was
urged by a number of Jewish
organizations in testimony be-
fore a Senate subcommittee. The
genocide convention, if ratified
by 20 governments, would consti-
tute an international law
against mass- exterminations of
national, ethnic or religious
groups.
