Following a, successful three-

another more extensive program
began. Jan. 16, to run for 10
weeks, at the 12th Street Council
Center.. The program is under
the directian of the advisory
committee, comprised of repre-

ish Women, Jewish Community
Center, Jewish Vocational Ser-

With the arrival in Detroit of
20 families per month since last
June, the problem • of finding
jobs for newcomers who do not
speak or understand English has
increased tremendously.
Recognizing this problem, wo-
men from several agencies joined
forces under. the chairmanshiP

organiZei English classes for new-
comers. The first three-week
program serviced almost ' 100
