UN Awaits Israel-Jordan Peace
Agreement with OK from Egypt
New Senate DP Bill
Branded Pro-German
WASHINGTON, (JTA) — Representatives of
national JeWish organizations expressed dissatis-
faction with the way in which the Senate Judi-
ciary Committee approved the Cellar Bill to liber-
alize the present displaced persons act. The 'Sen-
ate committee wrote provisions into the measure
making persons of German ethnic origin eligible
for admission to this country as displaced persons.

GENEVA.---7-Detailed reports of renewed peace
talks between Israel and Jordan reached the United
Nations Conciliation Commission and Roger Garreau,
chairman of the UN Trusteeship Council, here. The
Arab delegation met here Tuesday to hear a report
from the Jordan delegation which has arrived from
Amman. Thus, the marked optimism which has been
so noticeable here during the past week continues
unabated. United States persuasion in Cairo and
Amman apparently has been intensified. The Con-.
ciliation Commission and the Trusteeship Council are
prepared accordingly to hold up further discussion
here on peaCe and the future of Jerusalem until the
outcome of the Israel-Jordan talks are known.
WASHINGTON, (JTA)—The State
