fact that the members of Beth
El founded the first Bnai Brith
Lodge in Detroit.
It is under the combined aus-
pices of the Greater Detroit
Bnai Brith Council, the Greater
Detroit Bnai Brith Women's
Council and the Temple.

Sachar will address a luncheon

Council at the Tuller Hotel.

A three-fold anniversary cele-
bration is planned by Temple
Beth El's Boy Scout Troop No.
76 this Wednesday evening, Feb.
1, at the Temple.
The program will commemo-
rate the 40th anniversary of
Scouting, to be observed na-
tionally Feb. 6 to 12, and the
30th anniversary of Scouting at
the Temple, as well as being a
feature of the Beth El centen-
nial year celebration.
Close to 600 men were asso-
ciated with Scouting at Temple
Beth El since 1919, when Troop
76 was founde d. Two other
troops have been sponsored by
the Temple, but are not active
at present. As many former Beth
El Scouts as could be contacted
have been invited to the Feb. 1
event.
The program, according to
Ameroll F. Rothschild, Troop
146 scoutmaster, will feature the
reissue of the troop charter for
the 31st -year, singing of troop
songs, review of past troop
stunts and introduction of com-
munity leaders who were Scouts
at the Temple, including Saul
Rose, Charles E. Feinberg and
Karl Segall.
