PWO Sets All-Out

Plans Summer Nuptials

Friday, January 20, 1950

Membership Drive

The launching of an intensive
membership campaign by all
twelve chapters of the Pioneer
Women's Organization was pro-
claimed by Mrs. Miriam Feldman,
membership chairman of the
council. The drive will extend
through April 16.
A series of teas will be held
by the individual clubs. Plans
are being arranged to honor all
who become members during the
drive.
Mrs. Fannie Fisher, cultural
chairman of the council, an-
nounces a seminar to be held at
the PWO headquarters, 11818
Dexter, at 10:30 a.m. Wednes-
day, Jan. 25. Brunch will be
served. This is the first in a
in a series of meetings which will
culminate in a leadership-train-
ing study group.

JWV Military Ball
At Masonic Feb. 18

Features of the seventh an-
nual military ball of the Jewish
War Veterans have been an-
nounced by Henry Hertzberg,
chairman of the ball committee.
Paul Leash and his orchestra
will provide dance music for the
Feb. 18 event at Masonic' Temple.
A queen will be chosen to reign
over the ball. Each JWV Aux-
iliary will nominate candidates
for the queen, who will be chos-
en by the ball committee.
