Sessions Listed
Here on Weekend

Extensive b u si ness sessions
are planned for the meeting
here this weekend of the na-
tional executive committee of
the National Jewish Youth Con-
ference. This will be the first
meeting of the executive com-
mittee in Detroit.
The meeting will open Friday
night with Sabbath eve services
at Temple Beth El. On Saturday
morning, Young Israel will be
host to the committeemen at
services at their Youth Center.
An Oneg Shabbat, ending
with Havdalah services has been
arranged for Saturday after-
noon at the Tuller Hotel. Busi-
ness meetings will be held Sun-
day and Monday at the Jewish
Center.
The Detroit Jewish Young
Adult Council will entertain the
delegates at. a brunch on Mon-
day and Monday evening Nata-
lie Gaines, vice . president of the
Detroit Council and a member
of the executive committee, will
entertain the group at a dinner
at her home.
At least 30 young adults, rep-
resenting all sections of the
country, are expected to attend
the sessions. Arnulf M. Pins of
Paterson, N. J., president of the
NJYC, will preside.

present their "Frosty Frolic,"
a city-wide affair, Sunday eve-
ning, Dec. 25, at the Tuller Hotel.
Iry Fields and his orchestra
will play for dancing, with Lynn
Gladstone, featured vocalist.
The "Frosty Frolic" is being
held in conjunction with the
AZA-BBG convention.

"Galil" is the theme of the
weekend seminar planned by
Habonim, labor Zionist youth,
Dec. 25 to 28. Delegates from
Cincinatti, Pittsburgh, Cleve-
land, Akron and Windsor will
join Detroit members for the
sessions.
Al Gorenstein, national Ha-
bonim secretary, is expected to
be present to lead discussion
groups. Four evening activities
are planned: a musical pro-
gram, a night hike, a debate
on the question "Are We in Step
with the Changing Cooperative
and Communal Forms in Israel?"
and a new Israel play, trans-
lated from the Hebrew by Esther
Names and Levi Gura.
Young people not affiliated
with Habonim are invited to
attend the discussion and proj-
ect groups at the Galil Seminar.
