CongregatiQnal Activities Past Confirmands to Participate In Re-Dedication Service at Beth El Representatives of 50 Temple Beth El Confirmation classes have helped make arrangements for the Temple's Centennial Past Confirmands' re-dedication Service at 8:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16. Working with Dr. B. Benedict Glazer, the past Confirmands have arranged- the special serv- ice feature of Beth El's cen- tennial year ob- servance. Past presidents of the congre- Dr. Glazer gation who were confirmed at the Temple will participate in the service, a por- tion of which was especially written for this occasion by Dr. Glazer. The Hanukah lights will be lit by the oldest and youngest confirmands. The Religious School choir will sing Hanukah melodies. Following the service, there will_be a reunion of classes and a social hour, arranged by a committee of past confirmands. There will also be an extensive exhibit of Confirmation pictures, programs, textbooks, etc. The first Temple Beth El con- Jerusalem Official Speaks at Northwest Reuven Shreibman, vice mayor of Jerusalem, will speak on "Is- rael and Hanukah: The Victory and the Vision" at late Sabbath services of the Northwest He- brew Cong. at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16. . Shreibman came to Palestine 25 years ago from Romania. As a Halutz he helped establish Kfar Choindim. He has long been active in the Haganah and the Histadrut. An Oneg Shabbat will follow the services, which will be con-: ducted by Rabbi Jacob E. Segal. Sabbath morning services are at 8:45 a.m., with junior con- gregation worship at 9:30 a.m., and children's services at 10:30. Adult Education Bnai Moshe School Presents Dr. August Dr. Harry A. August, Detroit psychiatrist, will lecture before the Adult School of Jewish Studies of Congregation Bnai Moshe at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, on "Child-Parent Relation- ship." Dr. August is associate pro- fessor of psychiatry at Wayne University Medical School. He is president of the Michigan So- ciety of Neurology and Psychi- atry.
