At Temple Beth El

Students of Bnai Moshe Religious School

"A Dedication to Jewish Edu-
cation" program will be held at
8:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at Bnai
Moshe Synagogue. Forty-five
students of the kindergarten
and first grade will be formally
dedicated to Jewish education at
late Friday evening services.
Parents, as well as students,
will take part in the pro-
gram, which is arranged and
planned by Walter Farber, direc-
tor of the Bnai Moshe Religious
School.
Hanukah gifts will be pre-
sented to the students by Mitch-
ell Feldman, chairman of the
school board.
Sol Friedman, age six, a stu-
dent , of Mrs. Ba-umer's, first
grade will give the invocation,
while Barbara Pollack, age six,
will recite the Shema. Students
of the kindergarten and first
grade will sing Hanukah num-
bers and Shabbat melodies.
Rabbi Moses Lehrman will
speak on "The Responsibilities
of Dedication to Jewish Educa-
tion."

Hanukah will be celebrated in
the Religious School of Temple
Beth El this Saturday and Sun-
day mornings. Plays, music and
the Senior High School choir
under the direction of Mr. and
Mrs. Jason H. Tickton will fea-
ture the celebration. Parents
are invited.
"The Magic Hammer" will be
presented by the Junior High
dramatics group at the assem-
bl Saturday morning. Members
of the cast are Judy Calfin, Bar-
nard Collier, Joel Dreyer, Cheryl
Hubar, Judy Kobler, Karen Man-
dlebaum, Vivian Michel, Carole
Moore, Sheila Moore, Edith No-
lish and Loretta Wisok.
The 'rimary and Intermediate
departments will meet jointly
in the Chapel Sunday at 10:15
a.m. when the Intermediate dra-
matic group will present "The
Hanukah Pickets." The cast is
composed of Burton Conn, Paula
Jackson, Andrew Dunn, Linda
Gottfried, Janet Bartholomew,
Kenneth Collier, Barbara Roth-
stein, Jill Davis, Patricia Reiter,
David Newman, Ronna Jurow,
James Collier, Barbara Man-
helm, Frank Feller, Larry Beck-
er, Gary Kukes, Donna Wisok,
Richard Traitel and Harry Kan-
ter. Leonard Jaslov is in charge
of both plays.

the Labor Zionist Organization

Northwest Youths Plan
Festivities for Hanukah

Hanukah festivities are plan-
ned by the. Northwest Youth
Group for 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec.
17, at the Northwest synagogue,
Curls and Santa Rosa.
Dancing, movies, the candle-
lighting ceremony and 'refresh-
ments are on the program. Teen-
agers are invited to come stag or
