winter at Daytona Beach and Miami Beach.
Beverly Goldfine, executive secretary of the Young Adult
Guild, recently returned from Philadelphia and New York City,
where she introduced Larry Corona, young Detroit tenor.
Mrs. Philip S. Weisman of Covington Dr. recently returned
from an extended visit with her brother-in-law and sister, Dr.
and Mrs. Samuel J. Sills of Beverly Hills, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold J. Baskin and daughter, Sandra, formerly
of Cherrylawn Ave., are now residing at the Belcrest.
Mr. and Mrs. Maurice C. Fink, formerly of LaSalle Blvd., are
now residing in their new home at 19730 Santa Barbara Dr.
Mrs. Harry Satovsky and family, Joann and Stanley, are now
residing in their new home at 3455 W. Outer Dr.
Before her marriage to Ernest Schwartz, Nov. 20, Florence
Black was entertained at bridal parties by Mesdames Abe Gurwin;
Joseph Grant, Sam Frankel, Bert Smokier, Samuel Miller, Mary
Wilson, A. J. Newman, A. J. Blumenau, L. Mann and Ella Smokier.
Mr. and Mrs. Grover C. Wolf of Boston Blvd. are visiting in
Atlantic City.
Mrs. Walter Lilienfield of Highland Park, Ill., has been visiting
her mother, Mrs. Day Kralik of Wildemere Ave.
Mrs, Philip Sachs of Baltimore is expected here on Sunday
and will be the house guest of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr.
and Mrs. Lawrence W. Crohn.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard T. Lewis of Birmingham have returned
from a week's stay in Philadelphia where they attended the meet-
ings of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations.
Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Levin of Strathcona Dr. - have returned
from a few weeks in New York and have as their guests for a few
days Mr. and Mrs. Henry Soss of Los Angeles, Calif.
Mrs. Henry Lowenstein of Hamilton, 0., has been visiting with
Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Srere of Boston Blvd.
Mrs. Samuel Kane of Chicago Blvd. has returned from Cleve-
land where she spent a few days visiting with members of her
family.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Van Baalen have moved from Colling-
wood Ave. and are now residing at 18628 Gilcrest Ave. They had
as their guest last week-end his mother, Mrs. Mervin Blach, of
Birmingham, Ala.
Mrs. Oscar R. Blumberg has moved from Glynn Ct. and is now
residing at 941 Merton Rd.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marwil have moved from LaSalle Blvd.
and are now residing at 18681 Prairie Ave.
Mac Gordon of Covington Rd. has left for Miami Beach where
he will spend the winter months.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lichterman of Highland Ave. have as
their guest her mother, Mrs. Meyer Kestenbaum of Chicago.
Mrs. Frank Ladesen has returned to her home in Camden,
N. J., after a visit with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. -EdWard A. Klein of Collingwood Ave.

The bride chose for her wed-
ding an ice blue satin and.
French imported lace gown. The
fingertip veil was edged with
Chantilly lace to match her
gown. Her cap was studded with
rhinestones and pearls.
Lenore Alper, sister-in-law of
the bride, was matron-of-honor,
and Geraldine Krupp, sister of
the bridegroom, was maid-of-
honor. Nancy Mendelson, Ger-
aldine Fishman and Sandra
Mark were bridesmaids.
Bruce Shatanoff was best man.
Phillip and Robert Alper,
brothers of the bride, Arnold
Aisen, Yale Phillips, Marshall
Greenberg and Morrie Mendel-
son served as ushers.
The bridal couple honeymoon-
ed in New York. They will re-
side at 17545 Meyers Rd.

Corp. She served with it until
two years ago, when she helped
to establish the Red Feather
Motor Aides.
She has also served as driver
during Red Cross fund raising
campaigns and has been a
worker in American Cancer So-
ciety drives and Community
Chest and United Foundation

The "Jewish Holiday Beauti-
ful" will be the theme of a meet-
ing of the Cong. Shaarey Zedek
at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, in
the Synagogue social hall with
Mrs. Louis Tatken presiding.

tion calling for the renewal for
1950 of a pact between the Joint
Distribution Committee and the
American ORT Feder ati on
whereby the former finances the
activities of the ORT among
Jewish refugees in Europe and
North Africa was adopted by
the board of directors of the

Studies Now Available

NEW YORK Detailed direc-
tions for organizing and admin-
istering courses in Jewish study
for adults are presented in a
new manual issued by the Na-
tional Jewish Welfare Board.
Titled "Adult Jewish Courses in
the Jewish Community Center,"
the 54-page manual is by Rabbi
