Goldmann Tells
Fund Agreement
Daniel Frisch's statement last
week concerning agreement on
fund allocation between the
Zionist Organization of America
and the Jewish Agency, was
"clarified" in a statement by Dr.
Nahum Goldmann, chairman of I
the American section of the
Agency.
• Dividing the agreement into
two parts, Dr. Goldmann de-
cleared: "The first .concerns an
allocation by the constuctive
fund of the Confederation of
General Zionists of $500,000 for
ZOA Israel Projects, which was
made possible by a decision of
the Agency Executive to increase
next year's constructive fund
allocation by $350,000.
"The second point concerns
two colonies to be established in
Israel for American Halutzim
... financed within the. Agency's
1950 colonization budget. The
colonies will be based on plans
drawn up by the ZOA in con-
sultation with the Agency col-
onization department.
"No budget has yet been fixed
for the two colonies," Dr. Gold-
mann pointed out. "The amount
of $750,000 mentioned . . . is
based only on a personal esti-
mate by Mr. Frisch."
