YAC Delegates
• Hear
Hanukah. Brunch Plans

Delegates to the Young Adult
Council will meet Tuesday even-
ing, Nov. 29, in Butzel Hall of
the Jewish Community Center.
They will hear Evelyn Stoll-
man, holiday projects chairman,
announce plans for a Hanukah
brunch for all organizational
delegates. Arrangements for the
brunch are being carried out by
Rebecca Gratz Chapter of Bnai
Brith Young Women and Wayne
University Chapter of Alpha Ep-
silon Pi fraternity.

Young Zionists Meet
At Masada Parley

The 15th annual national Ma-
sada convention is' taking place
at Sunset Lodge, Sharon, Mass..
during the Thanksgiving week-
end. with the New ' England
region of Masada . - actin• as
hosts.
Large delegations of young

future structure and status of
Masada in relation to the Zionist.
Organization of America, the
American Zionist Youth Com-
mission. and to Israel.

Pianist Betty Koivalsky Beth Aaron Youth Group
Performs at Art Institute Formed by Rabbi Katz

Betty Kowalsky, young De-
troit pianist, will perform an
all-Chopin program at 8:30 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 28, in the Detroit
Institute of Arts lecture hall.
Miss Kowal-
s k y is known
to Detroit audi-
ences through
her perform-
ances in con-
certs and for
ewish organiz-
ations. She has
also become
known as a
Miss Kowalsky piano teacher
on the staff of
the Jewish Community Center
music department and as music
assistant for junior services at
Temple Beth El.
Julius Chajes has been her
teacher for the past nine years.
She has also studied with Carl
Fyiedberg at the Juilliard School
of Music in New York,
Tickets are available at 'Grin-
nells and at the door.

A group of young people was
organized into the Beth Aaron
Youth Group, Thursday, Nov. 10,
at a meeting at the home of
Rabbi Pinchos Katz. The Youth
Group is to foster social and
cultural programs during the
winter season at Beth Aaron
Synagogue.
Officers of the group are:
Seymour Carpenter, president;
Arlene Kanners, treasurer; Ar-
lene Becheck, secretary. Other
officers will be elected at future
meetings. Mrs. Pinchos Katz is
serving as the group's advisor.

Beth El YPC Holds
`Harvest of Fun' Dance

Square dancing and a "harvest
of Thangsgiving fun" are plan-
ned for the annual harvest
dance of the Young People's
Club of Temple Beth El at 2:30
p.m. this Sunday, at the Temple
social hall.
The dance committee, headed
by Lois Goldman and Elaine
Cohen and including Babette
Koppel and Madelyn Levenberg,
has engaged Leonard Stanley
and his quartet for ballroom and
square dancing.
Joan Eston, ticket chairman,
announced that -all young people
are invited.
Barbara Weinberg and Mary
Lou Kleinman are in charge of
refreshments.

Lists New Activities

The Shaarey Zedek Young
People's Club is adding new ac-
tivities to their program this
season: book-reading, headed by
Sol Glosser; current Jewish
problems, conducted by Rabbi
Benjamin Gorrelick; a choral
group, headed by Pearl Klein,
and dramatics, under the direc-
tion of May Zorn.
