Francisco, and will return via Coronado Beach and La Jolla, Calif.
Delphine Finn left by air for Honolulu, where she will spend
several weeks, returning via Los Angeles and La Jolla, where she
will visit w'lth her brother, Marvin Finn.
Rhea E. Cashman left Thursday for New York as guest of the
French Line, to inspect the Ile de France.
Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Kushner of 8803 W. Seven Mile Rd. have
returned from a three-week motor trip through the South after
attending the JWV convention in Miami Beach.
Mrs. Melville Welt of Balmoral Dr. has returned from New
York where she visited with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. Vernon Pope.
Mrs. Karl Kiefer returned to her Tome in Cincinnati on
Thursday following a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schlessinger
of Boston Blvd.
Mrs. Clarence Enggass of Cumberland Way has returned from
New York where she spent a few weeks visiting with members
of her family.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schlessinger of the Lee Crest Apt. have
had as their guest Mrs. Florentine Friedman of St. Louis, Mo.
Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Levin of Strathcona Dr. left on Sunday
to spend a few weeks in New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sternau have returned to their home
in Philadelphia after a few days' visit with their son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin L. Lieberman of Pinehurst Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Farbsten of Burlington Dr, have returned
from a visit in New York.
Mr. and Mrs. George Lowell of the Lee Crest Apt. have
returned from a five months' visit in Europe.
Mrs.= Julian L. Zemon of Wildemere Ave. has returned from
New York where she spent several weeks visiting with members
of her family.
Mrs. Harry Pethric, Mrs. Joseph Hartman, Mrs. I. Rodman
Myers and Mrs. Nathan Kline returned on Tuesday from a few

guests last weekend Mr. and Mrs. Garfield Kass and their daugh-
ter, Mary Elizabeth, of Washington, D. C.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Jacobs of Glynn Ct. left on Sunday to
spend a few days in New York where they will visit their daugh-
ter, Judy.
Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Greenbaum and their daughters, Alice,
Marianne and Ruth, who have been residing in Philadelphia, have
returned to Detroit and are residing at 4021 Sturtevant.•
Mr. and Mrs. Sally Daube spent a few days as the guests of
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schild of Wisconsin Ave., enroute from New
York to their home- in Los Angeles.
Mrs. M. E. Arden of Wildemere Ave. and Mrs. Melvine Kopple
of Parkside Ave. left on Sunday by plane for New York where
they will spend a few days at the Savoy Plaza, and then go on
to Kingston, N. Y., where they will visit with members of Mrs.
Kopple's family. They plan to be gone about a fortnight.
Mrs. Maurice Miller of Providence, R. I., was the guest last
week-end of her uncle and aunt, Dr. and Mrs. A. Louis Schwartz
of Argyle Crescent.
Mrs. Hyman Weisman of St. Louis visited with friends in the
city last week-end.

Trade and professional groups
of the Detroit Service Group are
trying to help alleviate the
financial crisis of the Jewish
Agency through collection com-
mittees whose job it is to obtain
payments of outstanding Allied
Jewish Campaign pledges.
Two more divisions have an-
nounced their collection commit-
tee personnel, as all trade and
professional divisions continue
collection meetings and follow-
up of accounts with unpaid bal-

Plan Drive Meetings

The Detroit Business Men's
Group of the City of Hope
(formerly Los Angeles Sanatori-
um) will hold dinner meetings
every Thursday (except Thanks-
giving), during its drive for $50,-
000 to benefit the hospital, Nov.
18 to Jan. 1.
The meetitngs will be held at
the Furniture Club in the De-
troiter Hotel, Ben Goldberg,
chairman of the drive, an-
nounced.
The American Medical Asso-
ciation has recently pronounced
the City of Hope, as one of the
highest rated hospitals in the
United States, Nathan R. Ep-

35 Torahs, donated by British
synagogues for distribution to
Israel congregations, were pre-
sented to Rabbi Judah L. Mai-
mon, Israel Minister for Reli-
gion, at services at the Seph-
ardic Synagogue here, it was an-
nounced by Mizrachi.
