jubilee of the Arlazaroff Branch
137 of JNWA, Joseph Sprinzak,
prksident . of the Israeli Assem-
bly, Pinchas Lubianiker, secre-
tary of the Histadrut in Israel,
Judge Morris Rothenberg, presi-
dent, and Mendel Fisher, execu-
tive director of the Jewish Na-
tional -Fund of America sent
messages of congratulations.
The jubilee banquet will take
place Sunday, Nov. 13, at Lach-
ar's, Dexter at Waverly. Maurice
Samuel, famous author and lec-
turer, will be guest speaker, Hil-
ka sRabinovitz, Israeli musician,
will present Hebrew melodies.

ATER announces its first pro-
duction of the- season, Shake-
speare's "Julius Caesar," at the
Detroit Institute of Arts audi'
torium, at 8:30 p.m., Nov. 11 and
12. Under the direction of Leon-
ard Leone, the play will receive
its first Detroit performdace
'since 1931.
The acting script 'utilized by
the "Theater is the product of
Dr. Leo Kirschbaum of the Uni-
versity's English Department.

OF THE YEAR exhibition is on
display at the Detroit Institute of
Arts and will continue through,
Nov. 22. To, stimulate added
interest, Merle Armitage, chair-
man of the Fifty -Books Com-
mittee, art director of "Look"
magazine, and. a prominent
book designer, will' deliver a free
lecture "The Dilemma of the
Book" at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday,
November 8 in the Lecture Hall
of the Detroit Institute of Arts.
The Fifty Books are selected
not for their literary content
but for design, illustration,
typography, and printing.
