Wednesday evening, Nov. 9, at
the home of Shirley Bernstein,

The doors to the annual Bal-
four Ball will open at 9 p.m.
tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 5, at
the Hotel Statler. For many at-
tending, it will be the 17th such
event sponsored by the Zionist
Organization of Detroit.
Named after the Earl of Bal-
four, whose famous Balfour De-
claration lent promotion to the
establishment of t h e Jewish
state, the Balfour Ball dates
back to 1933 as a major com-
munity social event.
The entire ballroom floor, con-
sisting of three ballrooms and
cocktail lounge, will be available.
Tonita and her rhumba band
will alternate with Phil Bres-
toff's 10-piece orchestra.
