Israel Veteran Succeeds Gottlieb
As Michigan Zionist Region Director

Morris M. Jacobs, president of
the Michigan Zionist Region, an-
nounces the appointment of
Jules Doneson as regional direc-
tor of the Michigan region to
succeed Saul Gottlieb.
A native of Philadelphia, he
recently returned from the Is-
rael army.
Prior to his Israeli army serv-
ice, Doneson was active in the
Brigadier Kisch District of the
Philadelphia Zionist Organiza-
tion; Post 700 of the JWV, Bnai
Brith and synagoge youth
groups.
During World War II, Done-
son served with the 8th and 28th
Infantry Divisions and was ap-
pointed commanding officer . of
the American University in Paris
immediately after VE Day. He
has visited Palestine twice with-
in the last five years. While

Music Study Club
To Present 2 Young
Singers at Concert

Members of Music Study Club
of Detroit will meet for lunch-
eon, November 9, at the home of
Mrs. Jay Rosenshine to complete
plans for the annual artist's
concert.
For the past 10 years it has
been the policy of the club to
present young artists who need
the opportunity of being heard.
This year the Music Study
Club is introducing two young
Michigan singers, Leah Crohn,
soprano, of Detroit and David
Krupp, baritone, of Muskegon,
who will be heard at the Detroit
Institute of Arts Dec.. 6.
Proceeds of the concert will be
used towards the Sylvia Simons
Memorial Scholarship Fund. As-
sisting the hostess are the fol-

chairman of the concert; Mrs.
