Yiddish Play Monday at Music

Abraham Littman, who man-
aged the Yiddish Theater in De-
troit for more than 30 years,
this week appealed to the com-
munity to make it possible for
him to bring a Yiddish produc-
tion here once in three weeks..
As part of his new plan, Mr.
Littman will bring productions
here in cooperation with the
Chicago Yiddish theater. The
first play—"Shwer ,Tzu Zein a
Meidel" ("Hard to be a. Girl")—
will be staged Monday evening,
Oct. 10, at Mifsic Hall, the for-
mer Wilson Theater. On Oct. 31,
his new cast .will produce "Anna
Lucasta."

JWV Ladies Bowling
League Gets Under Way

The new JWV Ladies' Auxil-
iary Bowling league will get un-
derway Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Members from 16 auxiliaries
comprising the Dept. of Michi-
gan will bowl in Tuesday after-
noon or evening leagues.
Women for the afternoon
leagues meet at 2 p. m. Oct. 11
at Rolawile Bowling Alleys, 7040
Puritan, one block west of Liv-
ernois. The evening league
bowls at Victory Bowling Cen-
ter, 7744 12th at 9:30 p.m.
Prior to bowling Oct. 11, pres-
idents for the leagues will be
elected, and fees and awards
