Mental Health Leaders
Leave for Israel Survey

Three of America's leading
authorities in the field of mental
health left for Israel on a mis-
sion sponsored by the American
Fund for Israel Institutions and
requested by the Ministry of
Health of the State of Israel to
survey the mental health prob-
lems of Israel.

tions; and president of the

and equipment to Histadrut, the Israel labor Federation, as a
gift of the American Trade union movement. Over 400,000
Jews and Arabs are united in the ranks of Histadut, working
harmoniously for the development of the world's youngest
republic. The American Trade Union Council for Histadrut is
the authorized body, through which all contributions of Ameri-
can labor are channeled to the Histadruth.

Jewish Coop Operates
Mobile Repair Shops

WARSAW, (JTA) — The Jew-
ish cooperative "Solidarity" has
organized and is operating 135
mobile repair shops for the cob-
bling of shoes and for various
tailoring operations. The mobile
units set up operations in the
vicinity of large factories and in
villages in the countryside.
Among the expansion plans
presently under consideration by
the managers of the cooperative
is the opening of a shoe repair
unit in Warsaw which could
cobble 2,000 pairs of shoes daily.

Labor Council took action to re-
lieve the unemployment situa-
tion- created by the arrival of
huge numbers of immigrants
and the partial demobilization
of the army. It voted to abolish
overtime and to share the work
that normally would be done on
an overtime basis with the jub-

Danish Writers Penalized
For Anti-Semitic Article
