Young Israel Conducts
Three Holiday Services
At New Youth Center

The Young Israel Youth Cen-
ter will be completed prior to
the High Holidays, it was an-
nounced by the building com-
mittee.
Selichoth services will be con-
ducted in the auditorium of the
Youth Center at 12 midnight
Saturday, Sept. 18.
Tickets for Rosh Hashanah,
and Yom Kippur are now on
sale at the Center week days
except Fridays from 7 to 9 p.m.
and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2

p.m.

This year young Israel is in-
novating services for the entire
family. Adult members will v; or-
ship in the auditorium of the
Center. while junior services will
be held in one of • the larger
clubrooms for boys and girls,
10 to 16. At the same time, a
special holiday program will be
conducted for youngsters four to
nine.
A general memberShip meet-
ing of Young Israel will be held
at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14,
at the Center.
Samuel W. Platt, president of
Young Israel, announces the

Bnai Moshe Schedules
Auxiliary Services

A staff of 40 teachers will
greet an increased enrollment of
children at the opening sessions
Congo Bnai Moshe will hold
of the Religious School of supplementary services in the
Temple Beth El this Saturday social -hall Rosh Hashanah and
and Sunday mornings, Sept. 10
and 11.
Registration, required only for
new pupils, will take place in
the school office Monday. Tues-
day, Thursday and Friday. Par-
ents should bring their children
with them for registration. No
registrations will be taken on
Sunday morning.
The School will be under the
general supervision of Dr. B.
Benedict Glazer, with Rabbi Sid-
ney Akselrad as director; Mrs.
Samuel Mendelsohn, student -
faculty advisor; Rosalind Schu-
bot. school secretary, and Jason
Tickton, music director.

Bnai David Registers
Students on Sunday;
Plan Extra Services

Bnai David Religious School
will conduct registration Sun-
day, Sept. 11, at the synagogue,
Elinhurst and 14th, for children
of the kindergarten, eight ele-
mentary grades and high school.
The religious School holds ses-
sions at Central High School
during the entire school year.
However, during September, all
pupils meet in the synagogue
building. AssemblieS depicting
the ritual of the approaching
holidays are given .and all stu-
dents have an opportunity to
acquaint themselves with the
festivals.
The school is under the per-
sonal supervision of Rabbi
Joshua Sperka, assisted by Rab-
bi Eric Greenbaum, educatonal
director.
Cong. Bnai David announces
that Auxiliary services will be
held during the High Holy Days
in the social hall.
Rabbi Jacob Brown of the
teaching staff of Yeshivath Beth
Yehudah will officiate, with
Rev: Jacob Sandberg as Baal
Musaff. Rabbi Joshua Sperka
will deliver the message of the

Accommodations at the special

RABBI JULIUS WEINBERG

Yom Kippur. The services will be
conducted by Rabbi Julius Wein-
berg and Cantor Samuel Glantz.
Rabbi Weinberg, a native of
efleveland, was ordained in 1947.
Since September, 1948, he has
been in Detroit, connected with
Yeshivath Beth Yehuda and
since last April, with the Jewish
Community Council.
