Anti-Zionist Pamphlet
Distributed in Bucharest

TEL AVIV, (JTA)—T h r e e
London Jews, David and
Maurice Riback and Arthur
Broza, all under 30 years,
reached Tel Aviv port in a
crippled motor boat after 61
days of a most eventful voy-
age from Southampton. They
were enthusiastically greeted
by stevedores and ships at
anchor.
The ship Theodor Herzl
brought 600 immigrants from
Tripoli. The vessel Ave Maria
docked with 400 from Mar-
seilles and a small craft
brought 40 from Turkey.

BUCHAREST, (JTA)—A pam-
phlet describing Zionism as an
"attempt toward the coloniza-
tion of an Arab country by
Germanic and . Slav elements"
has been distributed by the
Egyptian legation in Bucharest
to the entire diplomatic corps
here. The pamphlet, entitled
"The Zionist Question in Its
Scientific Setting," was first
printed in Cairo in May, 1947,
and reprinted in October, •1948.
In its 34 pages, the author,
Mohammed Awad, asserts that
the "Jews of Europe are of
European origin, having the
same racial destent as the peo-
ples among whom they live" and
that the "true indigenous peo-
ples of Palestine are the Arabic-
speaking inhabitants who prob-
ably include in their racial corn-
pound more ,of the blood of the
ancient Israelites than can be
found elsewhere." •
