rn June Bride arriagei SEGAL-LEVIN: On June 12, Lorraine Levin bedame the bride of Irving Segal at a ceremony at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Meyer Levin of Oak- man Blvd. Mr. Segal is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry S. Segal of Buena Vista Ave. Rabbi Moses Lehrman and Rabbi Leo Goldman officiated at the service which was wit- nessed by members of the im- mediate families. The bride chose a blush pink lace, ballerina length gown, having an off the shoulder scal- loped neckline and wore match- ing pink slippers. A crown of wild roses fashioned into a headdress with pink netting continued the solitary color scheme. She carried pink roses and lilies of the valley on a white Bible. The bride's attendants were; Maid of honor, Bernice Fish- man; bridesmaid, Thelma Rose; Larry Levin, nephew of the bride, ring bearer; Judy Weitz, flower girl. Marcia Margulies, soloist, sang "Through The Years," and "Because." Sidney Segal served his brother as best man and Maury Levin, brother of the bride, was usher. Following the ceremony, din- ner for 50 guests was held at the Elmwood Hotel in Windsor. For their honeymoon t h e couple traveled through Canada stopping at Muskoka Beach Inn, Toronto and Niagara Falls. * * HARRIS -SCHAK NE Ann Schakne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry T. Schakne of New York City, was married to Dr. Cyril Harris, son of Mrs. Ida M. Harris of Los Angeles and the late Dr. Bernard 0. Harris, for- merly of Detroit, at a ceremony at the home of the bride's par- ents July 12. The ceremony was performed by Rev. David J. Fut- terman of the Park Avenue Synagogue. Mrs. Harris was graduated from Hunter college and re- ceived her master's degree from Radcliff. Dr. Harris received his master's degree from the Uni- versity of California in Los An- geles, and was given the doctor of philosophy degree in physics by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. KAHN-WALD: Lillian Ruth Wald, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Wald of Pittsburgh, Pa., was married to Howard Malcolm Kahn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jos- eph Kahn, of W. Grand Boule- vard, June 26, at a formal gar- den ceremony at the home of the bride. - 'Mrs. David Spiegel, sister of the bride, was her matron-of- honor, and the bridegroom was attended by his brother, Ellis. - Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kahn, Mrs. S. Safier and Mr. and Mrs. Mor- ris Goodman of Detroit, and Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Wald and Na- than Wald of Washington, D. C. After a honeymoon trip to New York and points east, the couple is making their home in Detroit. Dr. Rosenberg, a native De- troiter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Rosenberg of Webb Ave- nue, was graduated from the University of Michigan in 1945 with an A. B. in anthropology. Since that time he has done graduate work at the New School for Social Research and has been granted the degrees of Master of Arts in 1947 and Doc- tor of Philosophy in 1949, both in Sociology.
