Mrs. Sol. Quentin Kesler has returned from a week of study
at the Fred Waring Music Workshop at Shawnee-on-Delaware
in Pennsylvania. Enroute she visited with her brother-in-law
and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Saul Vatz of Pittsburgh.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schakne have returned from a trip to
New York where they attended the wedding of their niece, Ann
Schakne, to Dr. Cyril Harris.
Mrs. Ben Wuntner of Monterey Ave. left on a trip to Alaska
and the Pacific Northwest. Banff, the Canadian Rockies, Seattle
and a two-week ocean cruise on the S.S. Baranof are on her
itinerary.
Mr. • and Mrs. Max Abramsohn and son, Louis, have returned
from Atlanta, Ga., where they visited their children, Mr. and
Mrs. Burton E. Rose.
Dr. Saul E. Barnett and Myron S. Fink of the Belcrest re-
turned last week from a fishing trip at Charlevoix and Petoskey.
Sherry Kaye, 11-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hi Katz
of 2684 Fullerton, appeared on "Ted Mack's Old Gold Show" July
6 in New York City, and on his television show July 10. She is
a pupil of Eve Meister.
Mrs. Donald J. Pearl (Audrey Hartman) flew to Miami to
join her husband. They are residing at 60 N. W. 19th Ave., Miami.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Beal and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Limond
entertained 50 guests at a garden party supper July 16 at their
country home, Li-Pa-Be Acres, at Commerce Lake, honoring Mr.
and Mrs. Harry B. Park on Mr. Park's departure for Europe.
Dr. and Mrs. Martin E. Kohn, formerly of 1039 Vinewood, are
now residing at 70 Highland Ave., Highland Park.
Mr. and Mrs. Tobias Eskow of Glendale Ave. celebrated their
25th wedding anniversary July 9 at an open house party given
by their children, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Stein and son.
Miss Marilyn Fred of Waco, Tex., is spending a few weeks as
the gueSt of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lieberman
of Birchcrest Dr.
Mrs. David Berkowitz has returned to her home in Cleveland
after a visit with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Ellias of Fullerton Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Irving Dworman of Roselawn Ave., have returned
from a stay at Burt Lake in Northern Michigan.
Mrs. Elliot Moyer and her son, Jimmie, of Washington, D. C.,
are visiting in the city with members of their family and friends.
Dr. and Mrs. Jack Lawson and their daughter, Linda, of Pen-
nington Dr., are spending a fortnight in Lexington.
Mr. and Mrs. Epraim Lieberman of Santa Barbara Dr., are
spending a few weeks in Charlevoix.
Mrs. Sidney Rosman of Stutevant Ave., is leaving this Friday
for New York where she plans to spend 10 days visiting with her
sister.

Dr. and Mrs. Noah Aronstam of Eason Ave., have returned
from New York where they spent a few weeks as the guests of
their son-in-law and daughter,,Dr. and Mrs. Luis Perelman.
Mrs. Jean Ormay arrived on Tuesday from Newark, N. J., to
spend a few weeks as the guest of her sister, Mrs. Harry Sacks of
Dexter Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Fisher, their daughter, Nancy, and son,
Michael, of Lakewood Ave., left on Monday by motor for a visit
in the copper country.
Mr. and Mrs. Morrey Fenton of the BOok-Cadillac Hotel have
returned from a months visit in Europe.
Mrs. Harry Robinson and her children, Howard, Sherry, and
Vivian, of Santa Barbara Dr., are leaving thig week-end for a
stay in East Tawas ; Mich.
Mr: and Mrs. Harold Stern and their son of Pennington Dr.,
pie spending a fortnight in Lexington.
Mrs. Abe Gordon of Elmhurst Ave., is spending a few weeks in
Charlevoix.
Mrs.. and Mrs. Alfred Gunsberg of Greenlawn Ave., have re-
turned from a week's visit in Boston.
Dr. and Mrs. I. Irving Bittker of Atkinson Ave are spending a
few weeks in Charlevoix.

Israeli Relations

TORONTO, (JTA) — Sir Ells-

chairman of the new Canada-
Israel Association, set up to
promote closer scientific, cult-
ural and economic relations be-
tween • the two countries. Pre-
viously, Sir Ellsworth headed the
Canadian Pro - Palestine Com-
mittee. The Association is com-
prised of leading Canadian gov-
ernment officials, clergymen,
educators and writers.

Plan Joint Outing

The annual picnic of the
Philip Handler and Louis Mar-
shall Lodges of Bnai Brith will
be held at - Middle Rouge Park,
Sunday, July. 31. All members,
families and friends are invited.
A softball game between the
two lodges will be the feature
attraction.
In another joint venture,
Handler and Marshall Lodges
are planning a moonlight ex-
cursion to Bob-Lo Island on
Sunday, Aug. 14. Members - and

MRS. DAVID HURWITZ

Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Baskin
of Long Island, New York, an-
nounce the marriage of their
daughter, Dorothy, to David
Hurwitz of Detroit. The cere-
mony took place July 10, in
Washington, D.C., and was fol-
lowed by a reception at the
Wardman Park Hotel.
The bridal attendants were
Leona Mancher, the bride's sis-
ter, matron-of-honor, and Jack
Hurwitz, the bridegroom's broth-
er, .best man.
Mrs. Hurwitz attended CCNY
and Columbia Teachers College.
Her husband attended the Uni-
versity of Maryland and Wayne
University.
They will reside in Albany,
N.Y.
