Vishinsky to whom he presented his creden- tials. President Shvernik told Namir that the Soviet Government de- sires to see relations between the Soviet Union and Israel velop on a basis of mutual friendship. He emphasized the fact that the USSR was the first world power to grant de jute recognition to Israel. Manuel Merzon, Detroit Revi- sionist leader. The new World Federation consists - of the Thuat Haherut, the Freedom party, in Israel, and the Zionists . Revisionists, Chutz Laaretz, in the Diaspora, Mer- zon said. The activities of both groups, as well as of Betar, the youth movement of the party, will be coordinated, he added.
