MRS. WARREN WITUS

Florence Esther Shaye and
Warren Saul Witus were united
in marriage at an early evening
ceremony July 6 at the Stat-
ler Hotel. Rabbi Morris Adler
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Sol Charles Shaye
of Strathcona Dr. Her husband's
parents are Dr. and Mrs. Mor-
ris Witus of Fairfield Ave.
A colonial-styled wedding
gown of chantilly lace and net
over satin was the bride's choice
for her wedding. Her chantilly
lace veil was caught to her head
by a bonnet of lace. She carried
a cascading bouquet of white
orchids and stephanotis.
Her attendants were Carolyn
Shaye, her sister, maid-of-hon-
or, and Sybil Witus, sister of
the bridegroom, Rhea Roubeck,
Carolyn Brown, Phyllis Licht
and Mrs. Harold Weinstein,
bridesmaids. Morton Golde
served as best man and the ush-
ers were Cliff Rogers, Harold
Weinstein, Norman Feinbe
Marshall Wallace and Harvey
Snider.
After an extended honeymoon
in the west, the young couple
will reside in Ann Arbor, where
both are student& at the Uni-
versity of Michigan.

Ministry of Arts has decided to
grant the Yiddish theater in
Jassy the rank of a state theater,
with all of its- employees going

troit Department of Parks and
Recreation.

Lesinski, chairman of the House
Committee • on Education and
Labbr, to use his influence to
have a strong Fair Employment
Practices Act reported favorab-
ly by his committee to the House.
the bill (H. R. 4453) has been
reported favorably by the sub-
committee.
Copies of the Council's letter
urging such action were sent to
Congressmen George Dondero,
George Sadowski, George
O'Brien, Louis C. Rabaut, and
John Dingell. Replying to the
letter, Congressman Sadowski
assures the Council of his "ut-
most support of this legislation.'
Congressrna.n O'Brien acknowl-
edged the. Council's letter and
Congressman Rabaut promises
that "it will have my study and
serious consideration."
Members of the community are
urged to write to their respective
repesentatives in Washington
asking for. favorable. considera-
tion of H.R. 4453, the FEPC bill.
