AL SILBER, "The Man With
A Million Friends," as he is call-
ed, has reversed a long establish-
ed way of business now that he
is handling the haberdashery
dept. at J. Young and Sons .
Best saying was by fellow who
came in to store and remarked,
"Well, Al, you came to me for a
long long time, so I guess I can
start coming to you for a
change!"... Al used to personal-
ly visit an exclusive clientele for
purpose of on-the-spot selling
and exhibiting.

LOU RUSSMAN, new president
of Downtown Bnai Birth Lodge,
is the sort of fellow who never
runs out of ideas . . . Last year,
as vice president and program
chairman, Lou's ideas paid off
in big dividends for • the lodge
. • ranking it a leader in
Bnai Brith activities . . . This
year, that almighty brain is set
to put Downtown at even great-
er heights . . because of the
consolation that Lou will not be
one of those "arm-chair presi-
dents" that have sprung up so
rapidly in our community.
