2 Fifteen to Receive Diplomas Sunday At Beth Yehudah's Graduation Hebrew U. to Accept American Students Fifteen students will receive diplomas at Yeshivath Beth Ye- hudah on Sunday. This will be the first Beth Yehudah gradua- tion to include a high school class. The high school graduates are Alfred Rubin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hill Rubin, and Ye- huda Cohen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sol D. Cohen. Rubin, valedictorian, and Ar- thur Greenfield and Sholom Brown, valedictorians of the in- termediate and elementary clas- ses, will be awarded medals for scholarship by Max Somberg, representing the Beth Yehudah PTA. • Cohen and Matilda Boren- stein, elementary graduate, will receive medals for citizenship and service from Joseph Bale Post, Jewish War Veterans, to be presented by Jerome Base- man, commander. NEW YORK — American stu- dents will be admitted to the Hebrew University in Jerusalem for the academic year 1949- 1950, according to an announce- ment by Dr. Israel S. Wechsler, president of the American Friends of the Hebrew Univer- sity, who has just returned from a meeting of the board of gov- ernors of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. The departments open to American . applicants are in the School of Agriculture, the Fac- ulties of Humanities and Sci- ence, and the Department. of Education. U. S. applicants must have completed one year _at an American college. Instruction at the University is in Hebrew, and students are expected to have an adequate, mastery of the language.
