Morris Mohr Opens Only Hotel in
Cape Cod Serving Jewish Patrons

Morris Mohr, prominent ortho-
dox community . leader, former
head of the Polish Jewish Fed-
eration and an active Mizrachi
and synagogue worker, an-
nounced this week that he is
reopening Sea Crest Hotel, at
North Falmouth, Mass.
The only Cape Cod Hotel serv-

Manischewitz Co. held last Tues-
day, the following officers were
elected: Bernard Manischewitz,
president; D. Beryl Manische-
witz, chairman of the board.
Both officers have been associ-
ated with the firm for over 15
years. Bernard Prensky, a bro-
ther-in-law of the Manische-

Auxiliary Trade and Profes-
sional Division workers of the
Allied Jewish Campaign have
covered a majority of their as-
signments of some 1,000 slips
and are now accepting addition-
al slips from all trade and pro-
fessional sections, according to
Norman Naimark, division chair-
man.
Harold Weiss, chairman of
Arts and Crafts Auxiliary Sec-
tion, reported one of his best
contributions was made by a
non-Jewish movie projectionist
who raised his last year's pledge
of $10 to $60 this year. Helen
Keil, chairman of the Mercan-
tile Auxiliary Section, reported
one of her workers, Nora Altman,
received an increase for every
slip in her kit, securing a 90 per
cent increase over the same
people's 1948 contributions.

HARRY SCHNEIDERMAN, ed-
itor for four decades of the Am-
erican Jewish Year Book and a
vice-president of the National
Jewish Welfare Board-sponsored
Jewish Book Council of America,
will receive an award of ap-
preciation at the coming annual
meeting of the Council, Wednes-
day, May 25, 2:30 p. m., at the
Jewish Museum in New York,
for "sincere devotion to Jewish
literature.".
