Detroit's Hebrew Delegates Report Detroit's delegates to the Kin- nus, first American Conference for Hebrew language and culture, will report to the Kvutzah Ivrith and the Hebrew Teachers Or- ganization Saturday evening, May 14. The delegates are Mrs. Yoninah Mathis, Morris Nobel and Bernard Isaacs. The Kinnus was held in New York April 30 and May 1. Two hundred delegates from 40 cities attended and resolved that a census of all Hebrew-speaking Jews and of all friends and lovers of Hebrew in America be taken, and that in this connec- tion there be instituted a tax known as the Hebrew cultural tax, or Sela, which will give members the right to vote for representatives to the World Hebrew Congress, which the Kinnus plans to hold in 1950 in Israel. The joint meeting of the Kvutzah Ivrith and the Hebrew Teachers Organization, which will be held Saturday evening in the auditorium of the Rose Sittig Cohen Bldg., is open to the public.
