Temple Beth. El Sponsors Annual
Institute on Judaism for Protestants

The seventh annual Institute Detroit Area of the Methodist
on Judaism for Protestant Churches will preside at the

Prof. A. W. Binder, of the
Hebrew Union School of Sacred
Music, New York, will lecture
at the afternoon session at 1:15,
on "The Origin and Develop-
ment of Sacred Music in Syna-
gogue and Church". The chair-
man will be Dr. Perry G. Gresh-
am, minister of the Central

Sol Grand was elected presi-
dent of the Men's Club of Con-
gregation- Bnai Moshe at the an-
nual meeting held May 3. He
succeeds Sigmund Jaulus, who
held the post for two years.
Irving Bernstein was elected
vice president; C a r 1 Rozner,
treasurer, and David Schwartz,
secretary.
Ernest Curtis, Eugene Korn-
field, David Levi, Ernest Labe,
David Bernstein, Harry Guns-
berg and Joseph Rittman were
elected to the board.
The new administration will
soon undertake a campaign to
enroll every congregation mem-
ber in the club.

Emil Kahan, president of Con-
gregation Beth Moses, an-
nounced this week that his
synagogue is planning a new
building, construction of which
will begin, at LaSalle and Davi-
hon, during the coming few
weeks. At present .the syna-
gogue is located at 8840 Lin-
wood.
