Moshe Dayan, Israeli commander of the Jerusalem area, in a press statement, re- vealed that the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv railroad is entirely in the hands of the Israelis as a result of the Rhodes armistice agreement, but warned that the Arab Legion is within gun- shot range of the road. T h e armistice commission solved the problem of "no man's land" in the Jerusalem area by dividing the areas between both forces. He said no agreement has yet been reached on the Latrun Road, which still runs through "no man's land," and revealed that two strips of "no man's land" continue to exist between Ramath Rachel and Katamon. He also said that the area surrounding the Govern- ment House still is in "no man's land" and may be divided later.
